What's running where, who knows the credentials
Stack is a calm inventory for the cloud accounts and services you depend on. Every paid SaaS, every free-tier API, every domain you forgot you registered — tracked with the operational context you actually need at 2am: what it costs, where you log in, where the credentials live, who else knows them.
What it solves
Most founders / small teams accumulate cloud accounts faster than they can keep track. Vercel for the marketing site, Neon for the database, Cloudflare for DNS, Resend for email, Stripe for payments, GitHub for code, Linear for issues — each with credentials, monthly cost, an owner (you, sometimes a contractor), and an oh-shit-it's-down dependency. There's no single view. Stack is that single view. Pairs naturally with **Subs** (which tracks the *payments*), but Stack is the operational layer: "we depend on X, here's where to log in, here's whose responsibility it is."
What you see
The **dashboard** shows your monthly burn (with yearly costs normalized to monthly equivalents), services broken down by category, your biggest line items, and an **operational gaps** section flagging services with no owner / no dashboard URL / no credentials location — the things you'd kick yourself for missing when something breaks. The **services** page lists everything grouped by category (hosting, database, payments, monitoring, AI, domains, etc.) with category subtotals. Each row shows cost, owner, dashboard link, and renewal info. The **people** page groups services by owner — useful for offboarding ("what does Sarah have access to?"), vacation handoffs, or just remembering who set up that one weird service three years ago.
What it doesn't do
No bank integration. No automatic discovery. No marketplace of vendors to pick from. Stack is manual entry by design — you type the thing in, you know what you have. Boring, fast, yours.
