A quiet manual sleep log.
A quiet manual sleep log
Sleep is the calmest possible sleep tracker. Log when you went to bed and when you got up. Optionally rate the night. That's it. No wearables, no algorithms, no "sleep score out of 100." Just a year of honest data you actually own.
How it works
Open /sleep in the morning. The form pre-fills with sensible defaults (last night 22:30 → this morning 07:00 in your local time). Adjust the bedtime and wake time if they're wrong, optionally pick a quality from Rough/Poor/Okay/Good/Great, optionally write a note ("kid woke me up at 4", "felt rested"). Save.
Why a manual log
Because the watch/ring industry sells you on lies — they don't know when you actually fell asleep, the "deep sleep" numbers are guesses, and the daily "score" is engineered to keep you opening the app. Sleep punts on all of that. You log what you remember. The patterns that emerge over months are more honest than any algorithm's pretend precision.
Built to be quiet
No "your sleep score dropped 12%" alerts. No "you need 8 hours" lectures. Quality is optional — sometimes you just want to record the times. The heatmap shows quiet days as outlines, not red squares. End-of-period stats (mean duration, mean quality, typical bedtime) are information, not pressure.
One simple price.
- Manual bedtime + wake time per night
- Optional 5-step quality rating (skip allowed)
- Per-night notes
- Mean duration + mean quality (30d)
- Typical bedtime + wake time (median, cross-midnight aware)
- Last 7 nights at a glance on /sleep
- Year heatmap on /heatmap — no streak-shaming colors
