Home maintenance reminders that don't shame you.
A house is a long maintenance schedule disguised as a building
HVAC filters every 3 months. Smoke-detector batteries yearly. Gutters twice a year. Boiler service annually. Deep clean the dishwasher monthly. Water-softener salt when it runs low. Drain the water heater so it stops dumping sediment into your pipes. None of this lives in your head. None of it lives in a calendar. You remember when something breaks. House is the calm recurring-task tracker for the things your home needs. Pairs naturally with **Stack** (which tracks your SaaS subscriptions) — same operator energy, applied to your physical building.
What you see
The **dashboard** is the morning roll-up: **overdue** tasks (the destructive-colored top section so you can't miss them), **due today**, **this week**, **this month**, and a recent-activity feed of what you just marked done. A **hot rooms** widget shows which rooms have the most things piling up. The **tasks** page lists everything, sorted by next-due (most-urgent first). Filterable by room. Searchable across name, room, and notes. A **task detail** page shows the rolling cadence, when it's next due, when you last did it, and a full done-history timeline with the notes you wrote at each pass — model numbers, parts ordered, what it cost, who came. Mark a task done from the side panel and the next-due date bumps forward automatically.
What it doesn't do
No gamification. No streaks. No badges. No "you missed 3 days!" notifications. No subscription upsell for parts. No insurance company integration. House is anti-shame by design — if you're a month late on the gutter clean, you don't need a tracker scolding you.
Built to compound across years
Rolling cadence per task in days (any positive integer; calm presets for monthly/quarterly/yearly). Per-task notes that travel forward — model numbers, where the part is stored, the tech's number. Per-event notes for the receipts trail. Room tagging for the dashboard hot-rooms widget. Color-coded rows. Archive without losing the history.
